As you might imagine, there is a great deal of The Twilight Saga: New Moon merchandise making headway right now. Through the official website, though, we can see that Summit Entertainment deals with Amazon.com exclusively as its official store.
So, to see what Amazon.com had to offer in the way of The Twilight Saga: New Moon merchandise seemed like a good idea.
Alas, FearNet has already (sort of) touched on the issue.
In their most recent article about Twilight fan gear, they highlighted some of the more interesting pieces available. For instance, in the article, FearNet discusses a supposed “Renesmee doll” that is available for sale, they say.
What’s creepier than a life-like baby doll? How about a half-human, half-vampire baby doll modeled after Bella and Edward’s spawn from Breaking Dawn. She cries, she laughs, she drinks blood. The Renesemee Doll comes with a tutu and a shirt that reads “So the Lion Fell in Love with the Lamb.” According to the seller, the clothes will also fit an infant. According to us, if you’re dressing your infant in a vampire baby tutu you might want to get a hold on reality.
You can read that full article here. The premise of the article, though, is what types of memorabilia are available that are slightly off-kilter, so it doesn’t stop us from our discussion here.
As an aside, related to Twilight gear, According to Amazon, the Twilight trading cards (which were in limited edition of 5,000) are nearly sold out, with only four remaining. Perhaps they haven’t sold out completely yet because of the somewhat hefty price tag (see here). A similar pricetag is also noticeable on Twilight perfume that can be bought through Amazon (Holy Crow!); see here.
Back to New Moon.
A logical beginning would bring us to talk about the poster for The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Available for as low as $4.69, the beautiful one-sheet film poster is certainly available – for instance, here (framed available here). Next, we know that the same images is featured on the forthcoming (Sept. 15, 2009) paperback edition of New Moon that can be found here.
The New Moon soundtrack, though not officially confirmed, is reportedly available for pre-order through Amazon as well, here. Also, an unofficial New Moon score has apparently been produced by Twilight-inspired band Midnight Sun and is available here. Of course, you have other unofficial New Moon merchandise like mousepads here.
Signed 8×10 photographs of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are also available through Amazon – some of which are featured with New Moon posters (both unofficial and official film posters) such as here and here. Also, Brian Leaf has been working on a follow-up to his book Defining Twilight, and it’ll be called Defining New Moon – a similar concept, to be sure – and it is available for pre-order here.

Though Amazon.com is the exclusive online store, a lot of The Twilight Saga: New Moon merchandise is also available through Hot Topic.
