The on-screen chemistry between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart is not lost on Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who credits the pair with making the movies such a success.
Rosenberg reveals that she penned the scripts for sequels New Moon and Eclipse with her leading man and lady firmly in mind.
“When I wrote Twilight, I didn’t know who was starring in it,” she explains.
“So I was writing a little bit in a vacuum and so there was rewriting to be done because I started off with more of a comedic edge and I dialed that back.
“Going into New Moon and Eclipse, I knew who I was writing for, it got even easier.”
And she is just as besotted with Rob and Kristen as the rest of the vampire saga’s fans.
“Those two actors [Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart] brought so much chemistry,” she adds to OK!.
“I don’t think the movies were going to be anywhere near as successful as they are without those two actors and their chemistry.
“Twilight was beautifully cast.”
Twilight director Catherine Hardwick agrees – she recently gushed that she chose Rob and Kristen as her Edward and Bella because she instantly saw they “had that wonderful fascination with each other.”
