Teen Choice Awards secret: Who was ‘Twilight’s’ big loser?

Twilight” just pulled off a dazzling sweep at the Teen Choice Awards, nabbing 11 prizes, including best drama picture (driving a stake through Oscar champ “Slumdog Millionaire”), actor (Robert Pattinson clobbered Brad Pitt in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”), actress (Kristen Stewart took down — OMG — Angelina Jolie in “Changeling”). “Twilight” seemed as invincible as its bloodthirsty vampires swooping down at the kudos bestowed Sunday night at Universal Studios.

But, hey, “Twilight” started out with 12 nominations. That means it lost a race! Outrage! Do the gum-snapping, vampire-smitten girls of America know about this?

Who turns out to be the big loser on the night of “Twilight’s” big winning streak? Answer: Poor Nikki Reed. Can she still possibly be suffering backlash for portraying a vulgar teen floozy in “Thirteen,” which she also co-wrote?

Probably not. Turns out she was nominated against costar Ashley Greene. Only one of the fresh “Twilight” gals could win. Nikki can take consolation in knowing that she’s in decent company among other losers in the category of best female fresh face: Lynn Collins (”X-Men Origins: Wolverine”), Emily Osment (”Hannah Montana: The Movie”) and Freida Pinto (”Slumdog Millionaire”).
